After watching "Fixer Upper" ever since it began airing in Australia it was a dream to finally see this building in the flesh! It was very close to the Hilton Waco, where we stayed and it was also very close to the wonderful Waco Farmer's Market.

The most amazing, astounding building in Waco. I’ve heard the ALICO called a “toothpick in a pancake” and that is such a perfect encapsulation of its beauty. While Waco may seem boring and flat, the ALICO really shines light on how beautiful this city is. I’ve taken countless pictures here and will include a few to this review. When you “cross the Brazos to Waco,” the ALICO Building is the first thing you see! And that’s how you know you’re close to home. Such an historic building, full of history and character! You haven’t truly been to Waco until you take a selfie in front of the ALICO!

Considering this building survived the horrible 1953 Waco tornado, it is a testimony to this buildings spot in history. All the two and three story buildings around it were destroyed and the ALICO building is still standing tall.

I love this iconic building and landmark. So full of Waco history. On this day, I was taking pictures of the new sculpture across the street. Delightful. Long may she stand.
