Overall nice hotel, updated and clean! The rooms (at least the standard king) is small. It was hard to move around without waking my husband as the sink is not within the bathroom. Was not a fan of the barn door style bathroom door because again, it didn’t provide any sound proofing. Room aesthetic is nice, room was clean and well air conditioned. I love that they provide shampoo/conditioner from Dry Bar, good quality. No continental breakfast but that was ok as we were there for Magnolia. Pool was CLEAN! Love this as other hotels I’ve stayed on this Vacation have had filthy and green pools. They have a nice patio with seating, large connect four, and fire pits. The only thing that would’ve made the day better is for all staff to be knowledgeable on the fire pits. We sat outside one evening and asked for the fire pit to be turned on, the girl wasn’t sure and had no idea how to turn it on. The next day it was on when others were out. I would book here again when in the area!!!

Very uncomfortable experience. Both the hallway and the room had a very strong moldy smell, and the entire hotel felt extremely humid. There were visible black mold spots all over the bathroom exhaust vent, which clearly had not been cleaned. The air conditioner also made an unusually loud noise that was completely unreasonable for a hotel room. After finally managing to sleep until the morning, there was construction at the neighboring building creating extremely loud noise. The soundproofing was completely ineffective. This wasn’t just the typical noise you might expect from construction, it was unbearably loud and made it impossible to rest properly. I booked this hotel because many reviews described it as the best hotel in Waco, but the experience was deeply disappointing. The room was so humid that it felt unpleasant and unsanitary, and I was unable to get any proper rest. Overall, I am extremely disappointed.

It was lovely staying here. Needs some, but just a little, updating in the lobby area. The pool sticks for the pool table need to be replaced or re tipped. The room was nice and cool, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was nice. I didn't find the area a concern at all.

So annoyed. Get to the room, the floors feel damp, the toilet paper holder is falling off the wall, the mirror is damaged, the shower leaks. The service was so bad. I have never had such terrible service at a mariott hotel. For breakfast it was very unclear where I was supposed to go or do and the lady at the counter was rude when we went to the wrong side. The bartender when I approached the bar was sitting at the barstools on her phone. It took her a while to get up and greet me and my mom at the counter. When she did, she rudely asked me what I wanted. I asked to see a menu and she stayed there wasn't a menu available unless "I was interested in like a cocktail". I was put off by this so I got up and left telling her I was no longer interested in a cocktail. And she mumbled, "whatever" as I was leaving. Then i told the lady at the front that the bartender was rude and as I was explaining myself to the front desk. The bartender yells from across the room, "what did you say" - making me feel uncomfortable. And then the lady at the front desk just walked away. I feel like the bartender wanted to fight even though she was giving me a hard time. The front desk just disappeared. I still have a night left to stay here and I'm just so uncomfortable about the whole thing.
