Took a tour in mid January. Heat was no issue. Decent parking area inside their premiss. The tasting area/bar area is a great atmosphere where you can order drinks and flights and get some souvenirs along with bottles to go. The servers were super friendly and knowledgeable of the spirits. From here you can check in for the tour. The tour itself was not as long, wish there was some better view points of the stills and barrels, and not so interactive as other distillery tours I’ve been on. But if it’s your first or new to distillery tours, it is a good start. The tour guide Alexander was funny and knew his information which was the highlight of the tour itself. At the end you do get a good tasting of the majority of their products and it does give you an idea of which you would like to buy. Overall it was a good experience and a great time on the tour and in the tasting/bar area.

Phenomenal whisky made and served by the best people. My favorite distillery to visit. The Tasting Room Vault offers the opportunity to sample legendary special releases you're not likely to stumble upon anywhere else. And don't miss the From the Cask experience, where you get to help choose a future distillery single barrel release!

My visit to Balcones Distillery was incredible. I booked the one hour introductory tour for only $20 and it was well worth it. Great, fun, informative tour to learn about the history and process of this award winning distillery. Our tour guide Cara Forney was the best!

Great day date to tour the distillery and try several tastings. Lots of great info from Alexander the guide. You can also order food from Milo to eat at the distillery.
