My kids (10 & 12) and I have been to Basin a few times, and have always had a great experience. We decided to host my son’s 10th birthday here and I am so glad we did. We had about 15 climbers and the staff was excellent with our party of kids, especially our designated staff member for the party- Ellis. Thank you Ellis and Basin Staff for helping to make our party a blast for all who attended!

We had the absolute best first experience here! From the moment my 7 year old and I walked in, every staff member was incredibly welcoming, informative, and positive. They have truly created a fun and supportive environment for all climbers. My daughter left already asking when we can come back.

Can't say enough great things about our first visit to Basin! We were in town to visit family, and we will definitely be back. It was our kids' first time climbing and they haven't stopped raving about it - the kids climbing facilities are top notch. To top it off, the staff were all incredibly professional, helpful and friendly (in particular Carolina). I've been to several climbing gyms, and this was by far the best experience I've had. The fact that they made our kids' first climbing experience was so memorable is huge!!

Everyone is very welcoming and the facility is well taken care of. -- Updating my review now that I've completed the Beginner's Climbing class. I highly recommend taking this class whether you're brand new to climbing or looking to build a stronger foundation and learn technique. Jon is very patient and provides teachings and feedback based on your level of climbing, despite it being a group class of people with different experience and athleticism. The class is worth the investment in money and time.

Fantastic place, quality staff and quality rock climbing facility. Kid friendly section gives a great place for them to learn the sport, and if you let them climb elsewhere in the facility with supervision the other climbers are super welcoming. As far as cost, climbing at a quality gym is not cheap. With their summer promotion I was able to do a 3 month membership for the family, and now worked out a way to keep it going for the few who will utilize it at least a couple times a week. It’s about $165 a Month for an adult and 2 minors with gear rental, and includes some perks. They offer 10-punch passes for those who may not be coming as frequently. At the end of the day, it’s not crowded, it’s an excellent, engaging weather-proof workout, and they’ve worked hard to make a good atmosphere.
