Cafe Homestead

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had! The food was absolutely amazing. The biscuits were so insanely delicious that I think I will dream about them and the homemade butter! I don’t believe I have had a better chicken fried steak and my daughter has never been so quiet during a meal! I even took a picture of her eating her chicken tenders with her eyes closed with pure joy on her face! I didn’t have to ask her to eat once, and if you have kids, you know it’s hard to get a 3yo to eat! Our server was also so sweet and attentive and went above and beyond with acknowledging and joking with our daughter. The atmosphere itself is so homey and you feel like you are in your grandmas log cabin being fed the best southern food made with love. Overall just an awesome experience and we will be telling whoever will listen to come eat here and put themselves into a food coma! Thank you guys for this gem of a place!

An outstanding farm-to-table experience! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The homemade bread, cheeses, and desserts were exceptional. What made the experience even more memorable was the genuine kindness of everyone we met. The staff made us feel truly welcome. We only wish we had discovered this place sooner. We'll definitely be back—and next time we're bringing a cooler so we can take home more of their amazing cheeses! Thank you Liz for your outstanding service!!!

If you can’t find something you like to eat here at the Homestead then you may not find it anywhere. The food is scratch made and from start to finish it is top shelf cooking. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The chicken fried steak has all the packed flavor you want and the gravy is thick and delicious. The Brazos Valley Salad was a hit with the wife and the girls kept stealing all the fresh fruit from it. We ended with blackberry cobbler and strawberry ice cream for the girls. Everyone left happy and full.

I came up from Houston to visit my husband because he's working away from home - our 20th anniversary. We dont usually mention occasions because we just fly under the radar. Malachi ( excuse my spelling ) ... Was a wonderful waiter... He took very good care of us. Drinks, food are all wonderful. When Malachi found out it was our 20th. He gave us a gift from himself.. .. I was very touched. I NEVER 5 star review where all the categories were 5 Star but everything was above and beyond expectations. I'm coming back for certain - especially when I can explore all they offer.. it's AMAZING! Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience. I wish I'd taken pictures!

Beautiful and extremely tasty REAL food. Staff is the friendliest and the food is made from scratch daily with awesome ingredients. They don't compromise on taste either. Everything was delicious. Pricey for sure but that's what you need to pay to get a real, natural, locally sourced home cooking type meal.
