Stopped by to visit being we couldn't stop in last time around. Facility and am around atmosphere was great. For being a smaller scale zoo, holds its own in its unique charm. Plentiful on exhibits and animals being out and about. Not over crowded and large viewing areas. A must return with other family members in the future.

Amazing zoo, definitely worth the visit! The size is perfect (you can enjoy the entire zoo in about 2.5 hours), full of wonders and without exhaustion. Smooth and considerate route design with cooling spaces along the path. Sufficient and clean restrooms and drinking station everywhere. The animals are super cute and lively, and you may get really close to them. I especially love the rocking chair in the rest areas in which you can enjoy the beatiful surroundings and music.

Visiting from out of state and our family tradition is to visit the local zoo. So we’ve been to quite a few to say the least. This zoo was great!! The quality and quantity of exhibits was complimentary to the price of admission. I think if you are a local in the county you get a discount too. It was an almost 2 mile walk around and we took our time. It was clean and we saw most of the animals even at mid-day in the summer!

This was our very first visit to Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, TX, and let me tell you, this place was absolutely wild… and I’m not just talking about the animals. From the moment we walked in, the zoo delivered a fun, exciting, and well-organized experience that had us roaming around like kids who just discovered unlimited snack money. One of the highlights of our visit was meeting Ms. Olivia, one of the Zoo Attendants. Ms. Olivia was friendly, welcoming, full of energy, and had enough zoo knowledge to make you think she personally interviewed every animal there. She made the visit both entertaining and educational, but sadly had to leave us because she was on a serious “BOLO” mission… Be On the Look Out for some lost grandparents. Thankfully, the missing grandparents were quickly reunited with their group, proving the zoo staff can handle both wildlife and wandering grandparents with expert precision. The zoo itself is fantastic. There are plenty of shaded areas, rest stops, clean restrooms, and water fountains everywhere for emergency rehydration after realizing Texas heat does not play around. The layout is easy to follow and gives you the chance to see all kinds of amazing animals including lions, rhinos (not RINOs… completely different species), giraffes, orangutans, and many more. The animal habitats were very well maintained, and every walkway we saw was spotless and free from debris or slip hazards. It’s clear the staff takes a lot of pride in keeping the zoo clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. We definitely plan on visiting Cameron Park Zoo again in the near future. If you see us there wandering around looking for the giraffes or trying to negotiate with the snack stand, be sure to say hello.

This zoo is well maintained, beautiful paths, and very nice. It only took us like 2-3 hours to go through it. You can bring your water in and they have refill stations in various places. Also there were zoo employees located throughout the zoo at different viewing stations giving you information about the animals. Such a nice zoo. We had a wonderful time here.
