CMP Auto Repair

Had some car trouble and called CMP and he arranged a tow truck for me even though it was a Sunday. It took a lot longer than originally estimated and he kept finding more stuff that needed to be fixed, but I guess that's the nature of vehicles. When I finally got it back, it seemed to be all fixed up and working well. It hasn't been a full day yet, but so far no issues. He offered to change all my brake pads in exchange for a 5 star review, which makes me suspicious if the other 5 stars are genuine or if they're payment for service. I said the most I would promise was an honest review, and he agreed. So this review is my honest opinion. What was weird was that later, he tried to guilt-trip me about how much value I was getting for free when (in his words) I wouldn't even give him a 5 star review. But if he didn't want to accept what I was willing to trade, then he shouldn't have accepted the trade? He also kept insulting my character, and there was no call for that. Outside of that weirdness, he was responsive and communicative, seemed knowledgeable, and appears to have done what he said he would do. 5 stars for "I needed my car fixed and this guy fixed it." 5 stars for communication, dedication, efficiency, and general helpfulness. 1 star for unnecessary guilt trip and insults.

Called about a whine in my truck and Mike was able to figure out what it was and got it fixed. Turns out was Bad Compressor, and had a few leaks which Mike was very diligent about making sure everything was good to go. Extremely happy with service he provided on my Truck.

Mike at CMP Auto is absolutely amazing! I called around 0830 and asked if he could fix a vacuum leak and repair my ECM. He told me “No problem, and he would at the shop in ten minutes.” Eight minutes later he pulls up and diagnoses the issue with my car. To say the least, I am beyond pleased with his service. If you are looking for a mechanic who doesn’t play around with his business and makes sure your car is taken care of; then you have come to the right place.

My car needed a new serpentine belt, and not being from Waco I didn’t know where to go. I came across CMP, and I’m so glad I did! One of the most trustworthy and honorable mechanic I have worked with. I called late at night when they were closed and he was willing to wait for me to drop off my car and he even waited till someone came and picked me up! Now that’s great service.

I just wanted to say Mr.Mike is an amazing person. He helped me take care of my truck and had real conversations explaining what was going on with my vehicle. He was also honest about things that could wait and things that needed to be done first. He also works with you when it comes to money to the best of his abilities. Seriously recommended.
