Days Inn by Wyndham Waco University Area

The smell in the room was extremely strong. Whatever it was was intended to smell good but it was overwhelming. You can taste it if you breath through your mouth. I bet whatever it was covering was marginally better than that cheap scent. Despite the hotel appearing to be empty they put us next door to some tweakers that were loud all night. There were only two or three other cars in parking lot. Why stack people on top of each other? I would not stay here again. Visited 12-14-25

The property was in disrepair and in need of a complete remodel. The carpets are dirty. The bathroom floor was slimey, the tub had parts missing and the ceiling had stains from a roof leak. The doors into the building wouldn't close. The sheets on the bed and the linens were stained. Not a very good experience. Would not stay here again.

You definitely get what you pay for, but I will be double-checking reviews more carefully from now on. Expedia showed several high ratings, so I’m not sure if we were given the worst room available, but it was a very disappointing experience. At first glance, the room looked clean when we walked in. However, within seconds, we were hit with a terrible smell—like the room had been cleaned with a dirty rag and old mop water. The odor was overwhelming and seemed like mold. There was visible mold on the curtains and even on the lamp. The bed sheets were stained and had cigarette burns, the carpet was dirty, and the bathroom was in very poor condition. The shower had what looked like smeared dead bugs, a stain that resembled blood, and the ceiling above it was deteriorating. The photos online are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the room. I do not recommend staying here. The smell was so bad that we had to turn the AC on very cold just to make it slightly more bearable. I even had to cover my nose with a blanket to sleep because the odor was so strong it burned my nose. It was so persistent that it lingered on one of our plastic bags. Never again.

We were trying to find a decent place in this area at 1:30 am, and this Days Inn was a Godsend. Laurel and Cruz helped me tremendously with getting my car started. These are good folks! God bless you all, the business, the building, and everyone who lays their heads here for rest! Thank you!!

This has been best motel we have stayed at yet. Rooms are clean love the carpet floors bathroom clean no roaches no bugs very worth it the pool is clean and the best part is the location is not far from restaurants and grocery store. Also they have free breakfast every morning and the breakfast is delicious the sausages are delicious the waffles are awesome they have also cereal and toast and muffins which are good as well. Highly recommend for price and stay. We really love this place a lot it's safe it's quiet and it's just the perfect one so far to me . Great 👍👍👍👍😃😃😃
