If you truly love nature and Texas, this is a spot for you! Really enjoyed this hike, even went down to the water for my dog to swim. Incredible views from the top to the bottom! My advice, hike downward if you are able. You can get out of the valley on either side at many spots.

I love the historical meaning of this place and think it’s a great swimming area, however sometimes it’s too loud with people’s music. Also, some people could do a better job of not littering. Besides that, it’s a really good spot to relax and get a good swim in. There are no alligators to worry about :)

Wonderful place for hiking 🥾. We visited on weekend and definitely recommend to buy tickets in advance. I love the view and the fact that there are multiple activities to do, whether you enjoy hiking or just want to go for a swim 🏊🏻♀️! The place is super safe and everything is very accessible ( restrooms, parking lots, etc.) Definitely a must visit for summertime!

It's a very scenic spot, but I don't recommend swimming if you can't swim very good. The water gets deep quick, and for that reason, I didn't go cliff jumping, or really leave from the shallow areas.

Great family friendly and dog friendly place to cool off in the Texas heat. Warning ⚠️ for people with knee and hip replacements be very careful walking trails and know that the rock edges of the watering hole are extremely slippery. Other than that it is a beautiful peaceful place to be with friends and family.
