Across from the convention center, this park is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of town. We often stop here when cycling around town to take advantage of the restrooms, seating, and water. Often times there is a new art installation being exhibited so there is good reason to visit again and again beyond walking and relaxing.

Always a great park for strolling around. This time I was volunteering for the Art Car Sneak Peek. Drew quite a few crowds after 6p. Many out of towners due to conventions. They were quite surprised 😮 and thought Houston was pretty artsy cool. Definitely make an effort to visit this park whether you're a local or not. Check the park's calendar for events. Kid and pet friendly.

This place was so beautiful we were lucky enough to be able to watch a movie on the lawn. Plenty of snacks around and the atmosphere alone with the buildings was amazing! Paddle boats, playground around...everything was great here even just to sit and relax

A beautiful place to take a break when working at the convention center. Beautiful trees, kind people, lots of greenery and seating. My favorite part of visiting Houston for work ❤️ I was also able to catch a bit of a jazz performance on a Sunday, it was awesome. I love seeing that many people together celebrating music and it was free!

It’s wonderful to have such a beautiful green space in the heart of downtown. Preserving Discovery Green in such valuable urban real estate must have taken great vision and commitment from the city. 👍
