Downtown Aquarium

What a fun, fun place in the heart of downtown Houston for children of all ages (incl adult kids). The tiger exhibits were beautiful and original. The aquatic displays had some interesting species not seen often. Outside the aquarium are rides for the family and tots, and the landscaping is luscious and inviting even on a hot day. The day pass is incredibly well priced for the quality of experience. Go early or prepare for limited, tight parking for a fee. Will definitely return with more time to just hang out.

I had a wonderful experience visiting the aquarium. It was a beautiful and relaxing place with amazing marine life, colorful fish, and fascinating exhibits. The displays were well organized, clean, and educational. I loved seeing the sea creatures up close and learning more about the underwater world. The restaurant was also a great addition to the experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was enjoyable, and it was the perfect place to relax and have a meal after exploring the aquarium. Overall, it was a memorable visit and a great destination for families, couples, or anyone who loves nature, good food, and unique experiences. I highly recommend it!

Aquarium was very clean and informative. My kids enjoyed it. We also rode the ferris wheel outside and it was an awesome view! I feel like it’s a short visit but definitely worth seeing if you’re looking for something to do together. We got a good view of the tiger getting his dinner. Overall a great place to stop and visit a they also have a restaurant attached on the second floor. I didn’t eat there but maybe next round.

Our visit to the Aquarium today was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were there for a double celebration—my mom's 70th birthday and Father's Day—and the restaurant truly made it special. Our waiter, Steven C. (the Italian Steven!), was absolutely wonderful. He had a great personality, was incredibly attentive, and kept the energy fun and welcoming. The food was great and came out perfectly. I was also incredibly impressed by how accommodating the restaurant was with my mother's late-onset shrimp allergy, handling it with total care and giving us complete peace of mind. We had an amazing time and highly recommend it for any special family occasion!"

I had a very good experience at Aquarium Restaurant. The place itself is really unique and relaxing, especially with the huge aquariums all around that make the whole atmosphere feel different from a typical restaurant. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal while also taking in the experience and views inside. The food was good overall, fresh and well presented, but what really made the visit stand out was the service. Our waiter, Oliver, did an excellent job from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure everything was going smoothly without making us feel rushed. It’s always nice when someone genuinely cares about giving good service, and he definitely helped make the experience better. The environment is also very family friendly and comfortable, whether you’re going for a casual lunch or dinner. There’s always something interesting to look at, which makes the visit enjoyable even beyond the food itself. Overall, Aquarium Restaurant is a very good place to visit if you want a different dining experience with a great atmosphere and excellent customer service.
