Dr Pepper Museum

My daughter has been a Dr Pepper fan her entire life, so while we were on vacation, we finally had the opportunity to visit the Dr Pepper Museum. It was a fun experience and much busier than we expected. We really didn’t know what to expect going in, but the museum focuses more on the history of Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry than on interactive exhibits. One interesting thing we learned is that the museum is actually a nonprofit organization and is not operated by the Dr Pepper company. We also did the “Make Your Own Soda” experience. It was fun and unique, although it seemed to be geared more toward younger kids. Your general admission ticket also includes a free drink, which was a nice bonus. The gift shop was well stocked with some unique Dr Pepper merchandise that we hadn’t seen anywhere else, although it was a little small and could get crowded. Parking was easy and conveniently located across the street for $10. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the experience. If you’re already visiting Waco, I definitely recommend stopping by. However, I probably wouldn’t make the trip to Waco just for the museum alone.

This was such a fun experience. We took a speed tour as we got there 40 minutes before closing and were truly there for the gift shop and drink at the end. This is your usual gimmicky side of the road stop that feels very old yet interesting to experience. Bonus Points for the “Lil Sweet” Funko Pop i got to purchase Also shout out to the employees all of them were wonderful, informative and kind. I’ll be suggesting this to anyone I know who comes through town.

Fun with the kids at the museum. Had a 12, 8,and 7 year old and looking for summer adventures to keep them busy. The museum is very well organized with lots of nostalgic pieces and fun advertisements to see. Interesting to see the changes in design over the years. After the museum we got the floats and they were tasty and a perfect treat especially in the TX heat. They have some fun flavors of Dr. Pepper items you can also purchase like popcorn and cases of pop. Nice family time and place to escape the heat. Spent about 2.5 hours. Tip- $10 parking right across the street for easy access.

As a Dr Pepper fanatic, I am biased, but I brought along some friends who aren’t quite as obsessed as I am. We all were thoroughly impressed and overwhelmed by the awesomeness that is the Dr Pepper museum. Visiting for the 35th BASH and GIANT bottle unveiling, I do feel the need to visit again the next time I’m in Waco. There were times I was moved to tears by what this Museum has to offer. My expectations were beyond exceeded. I learned many things I didn’t know. I won’t spoil too much, but keep this in mind… this museum is not just about the History of Dr Pepper. It’s the History of the building itself, which was the original bottling facility for Dr Pepper. It’s the History of Waco and the people who have lived and worked there since 1885. The soda fountain is a MUST see when visiting, even if it’s the only part you visit. I could go ON and ON and ON… go see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a nice museum with lots of information. Great for Dr Pepper loves but also other sodas (a sign says to leave your Coke and Pepsi at the door 😉). Three floors and wheelchair accessible. Lots to see and read. Fun videos with information too. You get add on packages to do other things too. You get a free 12 oz soda from the fountain in the shop at the end or can use it as $1 for something else. I got the root beer and it was very good.
