This brokerage has made my first time home buying process a complete nightmare. I do not recommend this brokerage for any transactions. I communicated my wants and needs multiple times in writing and was assured they were representing me and handling everything and within a few days of moving in I learned that the repairs I requested were not completed. I do believe it was because the brokerage was representing both seller and buyer and did not have my best interest in mind. They misled me and now I’m held liable for the repairs I requested. I communicated that these repairs were non negotiable and that I did not want a house that needed repairs done. Now I’m 9 months pregnant and left to figure it out in my own. Their advice to me now is to contact a lawyer to try to get seller to pay for repairs. After they changed my wording of requested repairs I still trusted they had my best interest as they assured me repairs were completed then informed me the morning of closing that repairs were not done. They advised me to go forward with closing and assured me that the repairs would be completed. I had to move out of my rental and into the new house and they knew that I had no other option at that time. The contracted companies came out and completed the repairs needed within the first week of me moving in and now the seller is refusing to pay and the broker has advised me to contact a lawyer as he already “tried getting seller to pay”. Then the broker sent me texts trying to make it seem like it was my fault for not doing a walk through when they didn’t ask if I could do a walk through until 5pm the night before closing. They completely failed me. Do not trust that they have your best interest. The entire process I had to fight to get what I wanted and in the end EG Realty completely failed me.
