My daughter and I were enjoying a girls’ weekend and decided to take on the Summit Trail at Enchanted Rock, and I’m so glad we did! It ended up being one of those experiences that makes a trip extra memorable. The hike up was fun, but definitely a workout! If you’re not used to hiking, aren’t in the best shape, or have trouble catching your breath, there are spots where you’ll want to slow down and take a few breaks. But trust me—the views at the top are absolutely worth every step! You can see for miles in every direction, and the scenery is beautiful. One thing we learned is that going back down isn’t quite as easy as it looks either! 😂 Take your time, wear good shoes and don't forget water. Overall, we had such a great time hiking together and made some wonderful mother-daughter memories. We’re already planning to come back and do it again—just maybe NOT during the Texas August heat next time! ☀️🥵😂 Beautiful scenery, a fun challenge, and an experience we’ll remember. Definitely recommend Enchanted Rock and the Summit Trail! ❤️🥾⛰️

Enchanted Rock delivers an unforgettable hike and some of the best 360-degree views in the Texas Hill Country. While the midday sun radiates intense heat off the bare pink granite, the steep trek up the Summit Trail is entirely worth the effort the moment you reach the top and take in the endless panoramic landscape. Just be sure to bring plenty of water, wear shoes with great grip, and head out early to beat the peak temperatures—it is an absolute five-star, must-visit destination for any outdoor enthusiast.

The photos of Enchanted Rock really don’t do it justice. I went in thinking it might not be all that impressive based on what I’d seen online — absolutely not true. The moment you approach the park in your car and that massive dome comes into view, it stops you in your tracks. You will see it from a far distance away. It’s humongous, almost otherworldly, and has this imposing presence that you feel long before you set foot on it. Climbing it is a whole experience. From a distance, it looks spectacular. While you’re on it, the scale hits you even harder. And from the top? Stunning in every direction — endless Hill Country views, sweeping granite curves, and a sense of space that’s hard to describe. The park itself is full of fascinating information, especially the fact that the exposed dome is just the tip of an unimaginably huge underground rock formation. What you see is only a tiny fraction of something far larger and older than you can wrap your mind around. Enchanted Rock is one of those places that feels alive, ancient, and unforgettable — way beyond what any picture can capture.

This place is amazingly beautiful. 😍 People are friendly as you go up with them and back down. They are all going for either the same reasons as you or a purpose. I enjoyed the moment there with my husband. I thought many times, maybe I couldn't reach the top. But I prayed on it to God and he gave me the strength and my husband gave me the wisdom. Thank you for such a beautiful experience. The view was phenomenal!

A very unique hiking experience. It's a big rock, about a 0.8 mile hike to the peak so it's very short. It took me about 15 minutes to climb to the top. However the hike is steep and there is no shading so make sure to bring lots of water. The views at the top are pretty nice and definitely make the trip worth it. You can also hike around the rock which is about a 4 mile hike. Also the staff was very friendly.
