Fuego Tortilla Grill

Rude manager! Paid almost $40 for my food was only able to leave work to quickly pick it up. I ordered 4 chorizo potato egg and cheese burritos and this is what I got. Where is the cheese? Do you see chorizo? I called back to see if something could be done. The manager said she need her food to be replaced to do anything. I am not able to leave work again. Asked if she could take my name down for a discount next time maybe? No I need my food to be replaced. I need my food to come out right the first time! I don’t recommend going during the late night 3rd shift as she put it. Rude as all get out.

On Mother’s Day, while driving back from Austin to Dallas, we got caught in a heavy rainstorm and stopped in Waco. My son and I ended up having some really delicious tacos there. The food was great and very affordable — definitely worth the price. The only downside was the long wait time, but it still turned into a nice little Mother’s Day memory on the road.

I went through the drive through ( the only car ) on Saturday night 4-25-26 I ordered my food, waited at the window to pay, paid ( never got my receipt) got my food 10 minutes later only to come home and find out the order was messed up. I called up there asked to speak to the manager. Jerrica got on the phone and was very rude. I told her I was missing my chicken and queso from my fries ( I only ordered 2 items) she said what do you want me to do? I said write my name down so when I'm back that way I can get it replaced and she proceeds to tell me " no that's not how we do it on night shift, we can run our shifts how we want and I want my food to come back then I can fix it" I told her it's against the health department regulations to take food back that was handed out, that is cross contamination. I told her I'll take a picture for her showing my fries missing the chicken and queso. I told her I never received my respite and her response was " we don't give them unless you ask for them" I told her I have been going to fuego since they opened and I've never not once received my recipe and I've never had to ask. She said oh well I can just put you down for chicken and queso but I'm not going to replace your whole order. I never asked for my whole order to be fixed, I just asked for my fries to be fixed when I come back that way. I live 15- 20 minutes away depending on the traffic. I asked for her boss name and she said he'll be in. I have called multiple times to get no answer. I'm not one to come make a bad review but the way she talked to me she shouldn't be a manager, she needs more training and to learn health department regulations. Mine you the minute phone call is the phone just ringing. The 5 minutes is me talking to her.

We have been going to Fuego for nearly a decade now and have seen many of the different remodels they have gone through. Unfortunately, in the last few months, they have significantly decreased their menu size and got rid of the hands-down absolute best taco on their menu, the Sweet Caroline. My wife and I would get that taco every. single. time. we came to Fuego because nothing else compared, so it's incredibly disappointing that they removed it from their menu. Their tortilla chip quality has also dropped a lot in the last year. They used to have fresh, crispy, salty chips, and now they often come out in a tied plastic bag and taste very bland and sometimes stale. Their queso is still great, but without the quality chips it's not as enjoyable to eat. Really sad for this new direction Fuego is going in and I sincerely hope that they consider adding the Sweet Caroline back on the menu and going back to making fresh tortilla chips. Might I also suggest bringing back the cozy booth seating instead of cold metal chairs :)

Getting a taco on my way to work is the best way to start my day! I’ve never been inside so I can’t rate the atmosphere, but every person who works the drive through window is so nice and always gets my order right! Shout out to Clarence - he always has a smile on his face.
