Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier

This is a great place for all day fun for just about any age. We came here with one of our daughters and 13-year-old grandsons. We went on a Thursday, and it wasn't crowded at all. We're able to get on and off rides with very little to no wait the entire day. The price is very reasonable. However, we don't recommend gettingthe 5D theater experience. Even our 13-year-old grandson thought it was very low quality and very lame. Even at only another $6 each, it wasn't worth it. The rest of our experience there was fantastic! All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The views are stunning. If you are here as a family or a young couple, put this place at the top of your list!

WHY ARE WE CHARGING? It’s a shame that you need to pay an admission fee to explore the boardwalk. I just walked to the entrance and turned around. Some of the rides looked closed, I didn’t see enough attractions to warrant a quick visit on my already busy Summer day. Rather, I took a trip to the beach below and dipped my feet in the warm water. Underneath the boardwalk you’ll find black gulls and locals hiding from the sun. The Pleasure Pier boardwalk has a rollercoaster, swing ride, Bubba Gump, and gift shop. The gift shop is overpriced but they have a few good stickers and Hello Kitty collectibles.

Had a blast! Highly recommend getting the all day pass and just riding rides all day as you can leave and come back. We got there at open, 12pm, left and went and ate, went to the beach and then cams back and rode some more. The views are amazing. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars was several rides were not operational. Understandable but as there are a limited amount of rides to choose from, it slightly limited the overall experience.

We had a wonderful time at Pleasure Pier! There was something for everyone, and the kids had an absolute blast. The Iron Shark was a huge hit, and the Pirate Boat ride was so much fun! The atmosphere was lively, the views over the water were beautiful, and it made for a great family outing. If you're visiting Galveston, Pleasure Pier is definitely worth a stop. We made some great memories and would happily come back again! Kids loved the rc and rides and parents dug the price. Under 100 for the whole night qnd thanks Tim for the help with my lil one. She appreciated it so much and I stayed stationary so yay!

It would be nice if you could walk the Pier for free. Spent about 55$ on 4 of us for a quick 10 Min walk. It was alot smaller than it seemed from the outside but it was nice. Staff was Friendly from the ticket booth to the concession stands. The Churro Milkshake was amazing!
