Hangar 25 Air Museum

If you’re anywhere near this area, do yourself a favor and check out Hangar 25. This place is an absolute hidden gem. I couldn’t believe admission is free, especially considering how much history is packed inside. What really made the visit unforgettable was the private tour from Ms Martha. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and brings the stories to life in a way that’s both personal and powerful. You can tell she genuinely cares about preserving the legacy of the people who served. This museum does a fantastic job of honoring the heroes who fought for our country during WWII. It’s not just a collection of artifacts but a meaningful, immersive experience that helps you truly understand their sacrifices. Just a few minutes away, there’s also a Vietnam Veterans memorial that’s well worth a visit. It’s a great reflective space to bring the younger generation to help them connect with & appreciate the sacrifices made across different eras. Highly recommend stopping by. It’s a special place that deserves way more recognition.

I LOVE this place. The history in the small, but well presented and very clean museum is fascinating and offers a glimpse of the old Webb AFB. Bomber pilots were trained here for WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Exhibits are well presented. The hangar itself is even historic, and cool to be inside. Even the grounds surrounding the hangar are historic. The highlight for me was climbing to a B-52 nose and sitting in the seats belonging to the 6 positions and pretending to take off and eject. Like a kid in a candy store, or a former air force reservist having a blast in an iconic plane... that was me. The price is right, too - FREE! Support them through their fun gift shop - they have a delightful collection of stickers and t-shirts, plus nostalgic toys and other things you can't live without. And if you are visiting in an RV - they are a wonderful Harvest Host with plenty of parking, some areas very well lit. There is nothing like sleeping next to jets alongside a runway.

Great museum! Wonderful static display aircraft inside and outside. Awesome B-52 you can enter and actually sit in the pilots seat. The hangar itself is amazing. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Also check out the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the base with aircraft and a tank.

A small free aircraft museum with few exhibits but great. Our teenaged boys were thrilled about being able to climb inside the B52 cockpit. Martha and Amber were great. A small gift shop with very reasonably priced gifts. A must see if you’re traveling by I-20 west of Dallas. The only issue was Google map took us to the wrong side of the museum so we had to drive around to find the entrance side.

I appreciated the introduction from the attendant. The museum is not really big but it's full of history. The two cockpits that are available to sit in were great. I'm glad I stopped in, and they have this free to the public.
