Holiday Inn Express Waco Downtown

The free breakfast was fantastic! The chef Rose, was incredibly sweet and did a fantastic job with everything! Truly such amazing service on her part, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. The rooms are also really nice, comfy beds, easy check in, and just an overall great stay!

What a great place to stay. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the front desk staff. Our room was ready on time and it was super clean. The prices were fair. Every time we come to Waco, we choose to stay here because of the outstanding service and the above average accomodations. Highly recommend Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Waco!

We called a week before we arrived to reserve a mobility room for my parents when we were all going to be in Waco/central Texas on vacation. We were informed they would reserve it and added that all of their rooms are ADA compliant since they had walk in showers. We arrive and find out that the showers are walk-in but no anti-slip on the shower floors or hand rails in the showers. The showers are slippery. We asked my parents be moved to a mobility impaired room as reserved and was informed they were booked up, nothing available. We continued to inquire about the weeks prior call and was told that since we booked through a third party, they were under no obligation to make accommodations to my parents mobility needs. If he slips and falls, he slips and falls. I told them if an ambulance is called, a Mercedes will be right behind it with _____ esq and associates. They said they will deal with that if it happens. My father, as seen in the picture, uses a walker to get around, mother uses a cane. He is a retired Vietnam veteran, retired nurse, and this was our experience at this Holiday Inn. We left, booked a room with a Hilton property that gave us a mobility impaired room with no headaches and at a less expensive rate. I am more concerned about my parents safety than suing a negligent property. Good luck when staying here if you require assistance, especially if mobility impaired.

The lady at the front desk was very depressing. Acted like she didn't want to be here. Talked so low you couldn't hear her. Then went to the room(which was nice ) it was very hot. Ac was off. Took a few hrs to cool down. Then I went to take a shower and there was soaking wet towels hanging over the shower curtain rod( hopefully last guest weren't charged for 2 missing towels) Obviously was not checked very good. Not what I expected from IHG hotels. I only book with holiday in express because they are clean!!!! Missed the mark on this one guys. And if you had someone happy to see customers, and greet them with a smile and not hide on the couch in the corner on their phone while a customer was looking for them. You would recieve a better review from me. I rarely post reviews but I was annoyed at the customer service I recieved.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The property was clean and accommodating for our room block needs. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of options, and the breakfast area was clean, comfortable, and offered plenty of seating, even during busy times.
