Lagoonfest Texas

We learn just prior to going about construction/closed sections at Lagoonfest. So we were not sure how the day would go. We ended up having a great time. We enjoy the obstacle course and bumper boats in addition to hanging out in the water. The water was the perfect temperature. Great service and fun activities by the Aloha staff (games, line dancing, etc). Recommend to get there early to get in line and secure beach chairs with umbrellas. We picked chairs by the section away from the open beach for a quiet time (music is slightly louder there). Around noon, we saw multiple people carrying their things around looking for chairs. Also, we brought tickets ahead of time as they can sell out. (Which they did on the day we were there).

One of the best places to host a family reunion in South Texas. The amenities were 5 star and the service was exceptional. From booking the perfect location, entry fees, set-up, food and drinks. Everything was top notch. I highly suggest working with Carrigean McNabb and Hayden at the Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill to get everything you need to host a large event. I had 30+ members of my family drive in from all over the US. The hotel accommodations around this location are affordable. We had ages ranging from 2 years old to 82 years old and everyone had the best time. Thank you to a great Team!

Don’t let social media fool you. This place is very underwhelming. Teenage staff and almost all of them are on their phones. NOT a family friendly place. More like a teenage hangout spot. They won’t refund you if it rains if you check in, and they will kick everyone out until it stops raining (could be hours). Which is why they push online buying tickets only. Oh and only 2 attractions were open out of all advertised on social media, so because of that very long lines. And this was a summer weekend. I regret driving 4 hours with my family.

I had an amazing experience ! Our attendant Ms. Daz for the cabanas and the Group Sales Manager Ms. Carrigean went above and beyond to make my nephew’s birthday special.They took care of my family and I every step of the way! They were able to accommodate me on short notice for a birthday party that took place the next day. The obstacle course and the bumper boats were fantastic ! The scenery gives very much island vibes being in TX! Even though most of the lagoon was closed off for renovations ,there was still plenty of room to swim ,dive and enjoy other activities.Once the renovations are done and the rest of the lagoon is fully open ,this will surely be a 5 star experience .We are definitely excited to return for another visit!

We came last year and had to evacuate due to weather. We understood that Lagoonfest can’t control the weather but we didn’t receive refunds for the $77 food we ordered and never received or the water activities we booked and couldn’t do. We decided to try again this year. While it says they have limited their lagoon footprint due to enhancements they are making, they didn’t make it clear that 90% of the lagoon is closed! This small section is supposed to accommodate 500 people. What a joke. We drove 12 1/2 hours and will not give this place a third try. They also let people wait in line for cabanas knowing they were sold out. waste your money.
