Came for a few drinks due to its proximity to the airport. Ambiance was as expected - typical roadside bar. Service was quick and friendly. Beers were nice and cold. Nice enclosed back patio that is heated.
Lakeside is a casual roadside bar situated along Airport Road in the 76708 zip code of Waco, conveniently positioned for both travelers and local residents due to its proximity to the airport. Garnering a notable 4.4-star rating across 254 Google reviews, this moderately priced neighborhood venue provides an unpretentious gathering place centered on good fellowship. Visitors routinely praise the quick and friendly service from the staff, making it a welcoming destination to stop in for a few nice, cold beers after a busy day.
A major draw of the establishment is its outdoor amenities, highlighted by an amazing backyard area that regularly features live music performances. Well, I’ve been a long standing patron of Lakeside and have always enjoyed the place. I’m quite upset to say that my friends and I just left the place because we were told that they don’t accept out of state IDs. It’s a shame to see a local business turn away good business. What is odd about the whole thing is the fact that my same group of friends was there a mere 6 days ago with no problems. Now, we’ve been turned away all because I have friends who recently moved here with out of state IDs. What will hurt the most is breaking the news to my regulars at karaoke. Thats been the peak of my week in some tough times. I could bring friends out and enjoy the entertainment from karaoke, locals, and drinks. The saying holds true, all good things must come to an end. It comes with heavy heart that I will not be back. With sorrow, Mac

New bartender's added 10 bucks to my tip last weekend. Turned my 5 into a 6. It went from a $8 tip to $18 on a $43 dollar tab (5 drinks) smh Gotta watch out apparently. Keep your receipts!! Ive never had to keep them in 7yrs but I will start now!! Service and drinks were still impeccable but it's the principal! Looked like newer bartenders because I've never seen them on a weekend before till this weekend, the weekend of 6/16. I even commented that they looked new. Maybe I don't come enough to know but I'd never seen either of them till that evening. This is something that should be brought the owners attention so this doesn't happen in the future. It's kind of disconcerting when I look through the comments and see that this is not an uncommon occurrence. Please don't ruin it, I really do like coming here 🤘🤘🤝

Nice little place with a friendly local atmosphere. Drink selection is great and of course the pickle shots live up to the hype. Has a spacious outdoor area. Come see Jessika. She's the best :P
