*Local Gem* Come early or wait. We arrived about 90 minutes before they opened but a line formed QUICK. You cannot get reservations but you can call in to go orders. Wait is for good reason though. Menu is small, food is great, value is excellent for the quantity and quality. This is one of the best steakhouses in Texas. We had 2 - 18 oz Steaks, 2 drinks and 2 desserts for $127 for a Valentines day dinner date. I'd say worth the money. It is busy busy, and can get loud with everyone there having a good time and talking. Just a heads up! Feels like an old country southern restaurant you'd go to after church, because it pretty much is! It's about as Texan as it gets. Just go!

We’ve been here several times over the years. We live a few hours away, so we typically stop in when we’re driving through to visit our kids. Overall, the food is always great! The steaks are seasoned perfectly, but unfortunately, the temperature has been hit or miss on our visits. This time, we ordered two 12 oz. steaks and the 10 oz. steak (pictured). The 10 oz. steak was cooked properly, although it didn’t seem to have quite as much of the “prime” quality we’ve experienced before. One of the 12 oz. steaks was ordered medium-rare and the other medium. Both came out medium-rare, so the second steak wasn’t eaten as intended, we ordered for our grandkids to share. The salad bar is always fresh, which we appreciate. This particular visit, we were among the first guests, but the selection was fairly limited and consisted mostly of lettuce. There also weren’t any tomatoes available on the side salad bars. My husband was able to get a couple from the main salad area, though. I do love the coleslaw, so that was definitely a plus that there was plenty. Despite a few inconsistencies, we still really enjoy stopping here and will continue to come back when we’re in the area. We would definitely recommend giving it a try!

So I visited this establishment for the 1st time on 6/19/26 for my late birthday dinner. The atmosphere was great! Service was good up until food arrival. I ordered a 16oz well-done ribeye. When it arrived it looked scrumptious and I immediately slice in half, place one half in the to go box. I should have looked the steak over. The portion I placed in the box was burnt! majority uneatable. Went to check out and we were charged for (2) 22oz steaks, not our mistake. Our waitress made the error not identified to us at the time. Mine was very clearly not a 22 and burnt. They did not offer to make it right and not to cause a scene we just paid and left. The pecan cobbler, we got to go, but should have looked at it also; it looked more like pecan bar. Very disappointed after driving 2hrs.

This place has some of the best steak I’ve ever had, especially for the price. If you're passing through on a road trip, I highly recommend making a stop here. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the value was hard to beat. Definitely worth the detour - you won’t regret it!

This is a one of a kind dining experience and you need to visit the resturant at least once. The steak and mashed potatoes are very good seasoned and cooked wonderfully. There was a long line to get into the restaurant at 5:30 when they open but almost all the people in line can be seated and there is no waiting shortly after they open.
