I walked around for two hours today, it was windy and the lake was nice and full with whitecaps. I found a bunch of cool rocks for my rock tumbler that'll look great once polished. There were only a few cars coming and going so I basically had the park to myself. The best time to come down is the summer when you can swim but the lake is fullest in the off seasons. There are covered picnic tables and barbecue grills for picnics and summer family gatherings.

Ross, the gate keeper, was super friendly and helpful for us first timers. We will definitely be back! Park has docks, boat entrance, playgrounds, picnic tables with grills near the water. Fishing!!!! Lots of fishing. Man made beach for swimming, also. Clean restrooms! $5 day pass, or $40 annual pass!

it was an amazingly beautiful park and the water was perfect! My son caught fish after fish from the shore and my little kids delighted in kayaking. We loved the fact that it was 106 degrees when we were there with a 114 degree heat index and we were never really hot because the wind blew constantly. We were there as evacuees from hurricane Laura and unable to return home, the wait for power being 4 to 6 weeks out. Ths camp hosts were so kind! The knew us by name at the 2nd day and were genuinely concerned about our well being. We were thankful for the facility and truly blessed to have met the hosts.

Well maintained campground. Lots of wildlife. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean restrooms and hot showers. Beautiful clear water full of big fish. A great place to get away and relieve your stress.

We enjoy coming here to get away from it all. It's a quick cheap getaway for the day. Great park. Clean. And spacious. We enjoy the water and relaxation!
