About Mountainview Park

Nestled along Mountainview Drive in the 76710 area of Waco, Mountainview Park offers a welcoming, spacious outdoor retreat situated within a quiet neighborhood. Holding an impressive 4.6-star rating from 367 Google reviews, this local city park is widely appreciated for being clean, well-maintained, and typically uncrowded. Families frequently visit to let children cool off at the popular splash pad, which is a favorite for both younger and older kids alike, or explore the multiple playgrounds and climb on the half-buried tires.

Athletes and active visitors have plenty of recreation options on site, including basketball courts, a set of horizontal bars, and tennis courts that can also be used for matches like badminton. Those looking to walk or jog can take advantage of the paved loop trail, while expansive open fields offer generous space for all sorts of field sports and casual play. The peaceful grounds make for a pleasant visit, though guests bringing snacks should be aware that flies can sometimes swarm around food, and kids may occasionally encounter stickers in the grass.

The place isn't very crowded and it's in a nice quiet neighborhood. The only bad thing I can think of is that their are Flys everywhere. You can have food without a million Flys swarming you. Also, my kids have gotten stickers in the grass a few times.

Very nice park. Usually clean & well kept. The smaller kids & bigger kids love the splash pad. There is a set of horizontal bars, & a tennis court, that I will be using for badminton 👍

Mountain View Park is a hidden gem in Waco! The park is clean, peaceful, and offers plenty of open space for families, kids, and pets to enjoy. The playground is well-kept, and there’s lots of room to walk, relax, or have a picnic. What makes it really special is how quiet and inviting it feels—you get that sense of being surrounded by nature while still being close to the city. The views are beautiful, especially around sunset, and it’s the perfect spot for unwinding after a long day. Whether you’re looking for a place to take the kids, go for a walk, or just enjoy some fresh air, Mountain View Park is a wonderful choice. Waco is lucky to have such a nice, relaxing community space!
