This pizzeria is one of my favorites… probably because of its atmosphere, location and of course the food. It is located on hwy 6, at the marketplace shopping center in Waco. The pizzas come out piping hot, lots of delicious sides. Plus, they have an amazing selection of beers. I highly recommend this restaurant… you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped by Old Chicago recently and had an awesome experience. Liv behind the bar was absolutely top notch — super attentive, friendly, and stayed on top of everything even while it was busy. Never had to wait on a drink, checked in often, and made the whole place feel welcoming. You can tell she genuinely cares about taking care of people. Great food, cold drinks, and even better service. If you stop in, definitely sit at the bar and ask for Liv!

The service was good considering both waitresses we had (shift change) were brand new. Management was a bit flippant. We ordered off the happy hour menu and then were informed when the check came that happy hour specials didn’t apply to people seated in booths. Kinda confused as to why the happy hour specials were posted on EVERY booth, but whatever. Our check was corrected and we made sure to leave her an extra tip. Just make sure you check with management to make sure you’re getting the specials advertised before ordering.

The Italian nachos are so dang good! Honestly, this appetizer can be two meals easily. The pasta chips are loaded with Italian sausage, mozzarella, pepper jack, pepperoni, pepperoncini, fresh green onions, and red sauce. The chips are crispy with the ingredients on top melted just right. The Chicago 7 calzone had some good dough with a slight crispiness. The ingredients were fresh. It was seasoned so well. This location also has great pastas like Chicken Pesto Alfredo. I always have great, attentive service and great food at this location. Bathrooms are always clean, too.

Tried Old Chicago today and I honestly would not recommend it at all. The food was just okay, nothing special or worth coming back for, especially considering the prices. What really made the experience worse was the service. It’s Sunday, not even busy, only a few tables were taken, and it still took way too long for everything — from ordering to getting the food and even just basic check-ins. It felt like there was no sense of urgency or attention to customers at all. When you go out to eat, you at least expect decent service to make up for average food, but this place didn’t deliver on either. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the time or money. There are definitely way better spots to eat where you’ll get faster service and much better food.
