Rainforest Pyramid

We visited Moody Gardens with our children and grandchildren and had a fun family day together. Our favorite attraction was the Rainforest Pyramid, which featured an impressive variety of wildlife, reptiles, insects, and lush tropical plants. It was both entertaining and educational for adults and kids alike. The children especially enjoyed spending time at Palm Beach, where the lazy river and splash pad were perfect for cooling off and having fun. While we genuinely enjoyed our visit, we did feel the admission price was a bit high for what was included. We left feeling that the experience didn't quite match the cost. That said, if we found discounted tickets or a special promotion, we would definitely consider visiting again. Overall, Moody Gardens offers a unique experience for families, particularly those with young children, but I'd recommend looking for discounts to get the best value from your visit.

The way they manage animals and plants in a natural-habitat setting is truly commendable. There were many knowledgeable volunteers who explained the animals and their ecosystems in detail. The kids learned so much about different tropical forests and their unique features. It’s a creative and thoughtful concept that stands out.

A super fun family afternoon! This pyramid has so many gorgeous botanicals and active birds and bats and a few other critters. We have wanted to go for years and I haven't been in over two decades. While we didn't see the sloths, we saw lots of other creatures and really enjoyed the labeling of some of the different plants and happily spent a couple hours here. Price of admission is kind of high just for attending one thing and parking was crazy due to two other large events happening at the venue. Also, as expected, it's crazy humid in there. Our family of four really enjoyed it though, and found it nice to just meander through slowly and really pay attention to what was around. We appreciated the couple staff that we saw that were available but wished they'd had more information about the animals or the exhibit itself. They seemed more to just be basically observing to make sure people were staying on path.

What a wonderful experience! Great for kids! The animals sometimes wander into your path. The plant and bird life are very interesting as well ❤️‍🩹

Absolutely enjoyed the rainforest!! It had all the layers of a rainforest . You started at the top in the canopy and went down. We were there when they feed the birds. The birds were the highlight. My mom who is 90 was fascinated by them. The exhibit with the poisonous frogs was informative. The frogs are brightly colored.
