Rocket Cafe

It’s not often I review anything other than burgers and Mexican food. However, my son insisted on eating at one of our old local haunts. I’ll start with the bad…. Got the BBQ Sandwich lunch special. BBQ came from a tub, tasted like instant mashed potatoes, and the baked beans were from a can. The good news is, it was still good and reasonably priced. Plus, I received a piece of strawberry and chocolate cake, which I enjoyed. My son raved over his Turkey melt and tots. Also, Service was friendly and great. I will definitely come in again, but I’ll have to do the burger next time.

A friend of mine and I had lunch here 2 days ago. We both ordered cheeseburgers and tots. What an absolutely wonderful lunch! The prices were very very reasonable and our waitress made sure we had plenty of iced tea. The decor here is very old and outdated but it doesn't really matter. We just came in for lunch we didn't come in looking for a five-star establishment. The service is fantastic, the food was excellent, why ask for anything more? You should definitely eat here whenever you can

Breakfast was perfect for both of us. Not too busy which was great. Atmosphere was good. Service was good and friendly. Place could use a little refreshing but I loved the place. I would recommend. It's a small town restaurant with friendly people.

Bring my vision impaired friend here frequently. Today we were seated and ordered right away, watched and waited as folks came and went. After quite awhile I asked the waitress if our order had been put in...she assured me it had, a little while later the cook delivered our food, which was good as always Waited another block of time for our ticket..watched as the other patrons got their little dessert ( we did not). Finally went to counter to pay , had to tell the waitress we did not get a ticket, and mentioned we did not get our little piece of cake...she says that's cause we don't have cake today we have banana pudding! (She was not friendly) no tip for you! I like this place for good food and convenience, I do not like this kind of service. Let me know when she has a day off..otherwise probably won't be back!

This place is GREAT!!! Chicken salad is to die for. But everything I have tried is delicious. Service is fantastic and everyone is so friendly.
