We saw this Honduran restaurant open up and I was genuinely thrilled, having done marine research in Honduras for the past three years, it felt really special to finally have a place like this back home. Even though it was busy (which is a good thing!), we were still taken care of. The menu is in Spanish for those wondering, but I’m sure they’re more than happy to explain the dishes if needed. I ordered the fried fish and my partner got the fried shrimp. The fish did take about 30 minutes to come out, but honestly that just reassured us it was made fresh. What really stood out and felt the most authentic were the rice and beans, that coconut flavor with the salad on the side brought me right back to Honduras. So good. My fish was cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. My fiancé’s shrimp were also super tasty, and the fries were great. He especially loved my plantain chips. Overall, we’ll definitely be going back to try more of the menu. Just really glad to have some Honduran food close to home!
