Party on—Shorty’s Pizza in Waco absolutely delivers. If you’re cruising I-35 between Austin and DFW, do yourself a favor and make this your pit stop. This is some of the best pizza in Waco, hands down. The crust is on point—perfectly crisp on the outside with that chewy, satisfying bite inside. You can tell they’ve got their dough dialed. The slices hit with solid flavor, good sauce-to-cheese balance, and zero grease overload. The pizza pillow is a must. It’s basically comfort food leveled up—crispy, cheesy, and ridiculously satisfying. I’d come back for that alone. Yeah, slices are a bit small in my opinion, but the lunch special (two slices and a drink for $9) is more than fair and makes it an easy, repeatable stop. Fast service, chill vibe, and consistent quality. Bottom line: if you’re searching for great pizza in Waco or a reliable I-35 road trip food stop, Shorty’s Pizza is it. This place earned a permanent spot on my route.
