Another great part of however there was a large portion closed when I went so the overlook trail was not accessible. The river is known for kayaking or tubing. I’ll definitely come back to try. There is not a lot of camping areas and the park is not very driving friendly. There is some back country stuff that is a cool addition.

Beautiful park, situated just south of Junction so it's not too far from civilization. When we went it seemed to me that the trails were poorly marked. Minimal signage. Trails were pretty though. The trails themselves were easily passable The river was a nice reprieve from the heat.

Beautiful park! Loved the BARK Ranger items for sale. Dog friendly park with dogs on leash. We saw a few armadillos :)

A very nice State Park we visited in mid June 2025. We visited during the week and it was not crowded at all. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The river was nice and you could easily tube or just swim. We did a lot of the hiking trails, including the overlook trail, which was quite strenuous, but the view at the end was worth it. Also visited the birding blinds, which were awesome. Well maintained with plenty of bird food and water. The birds flocked in like crazy. Overall, a very good visit and I would return to this State Park again in the future.

This is a really nice looking, quaint campground. The bathrooms are very nice and the campground is set up in a circle with kind of a park in the middle of them or at least though walking area between the trees. It was beautiful to look at the stars were gorgeous! Can't say enough good things about it. Definitely want to go back! Also deer and armadillos walk around in the campsites 😁
