Dog Friendly Patio was nice. Their mini pizzas were great. Their staff were friendly and service was fast. Their beer was ok. If you were a beer snob you would probably shit on the place but from an aspect of a good place to bring the family human or pup and drink a tasty drink maybe east some tasty food I like this place just fine.

Stopped in because I was told they had great pizza and wings. I ended up leaving disappointed. I wonder if the reviews I’ve read are specifically people that haven’t had good pizza and wings before. No offense. It just wasn’t good. The bar has a a great vibe and is a great casual date night location. However, the food left me disappointed. The pizza was soggy and had too much cheese. It came out about 10 minutes before the wings, on a Sunday afternoon. While the wings had great buffalo sauce, they were baked and mushy. I ordered 6 and threw away 2. My wife ate one. Fair notice: I hate baked wings. Should have asked them about this first. Beer selection was very good and they brew on site. Excellent beers. The ranch dressing they have is on point as well. I’d buy that in a bottle. Pizza: 6.2 out 10 Wings: 2.3 out of 10 Beer: 9.6 out of 10

They always have a beer that caters to a certain person, so always something for you. Never had a bad food experience here, so all their specialty pizzas are definitely worth trying. Even during peak times, you get helped quick. Vibes in day are relaxed, and during evenings gets a little more lively.

I'm here for one reason and one reason only. This pizza I truly think is the best in Waco.... Yes better than Moroso, Shortys, and Portofinos.... Southern Roots needs to figure out how to add it to the One Bite Pizza review app. On a side note, beer is not bad here either, can't go wrong with a honey lager.

Love, love, love Southern Roots! The pizza is delicious and I enjoy their beer sampler. I have been here several times with a large group of friends for the RECON fitness conference hosted by REFIT®️ Revolution. The atmosphere is fun and the service is wonderful too!
