Spice Village

Incredible boutique shopping area. There are a ton of shops. I think they say 40+, but it feels like a lot more. Best thing, you don't have to check out at each shop, there is a central point of sale point at the end, so you can shop one or all the vendors and only pay once. 4 hours in and it didn't feel like it. There's dressing rooms too. Perfect place to spend an afternoon.

A two-story yard sale/antique/market vibe type of place. A lot of cool items with different booths. They have everything you can think of. Definitely go if you are in town.

Very cool market with a large variety of items offering something for everybody. Candy, snacks, womenswear, menswear, grilling, decorating, and much more! The store is clean and well kept and staff are friendly and inviting. Upon entering the building, you are presented with a steep staircase up to the store, but just behind the stairs is an elevator if you can't or simply don't want to make the climb up. Highly recommended!

Visiting Texas, was looking for antiques; Spice Village popped up as a must! Went to check it out, most items are new, lots of clothing, jewelry, gifts and fun items. Lots of parking, it definitely something to see.

Well, they have lost my business forever, which is sad for me and sad for them, because I brought people here all the time. This is partially my fault, but it’s also a terrible business model. I rarely buy clothes at spice because their changing rooms are a bit of a hassle and clothes can be weirdly sized, but I found an outfit I really liked this past weekend and spent $100 on it—a big purchase for me. At check out, I said “so I didn’t get the chance to try this on, what are your return policies?” She said, “no worries! We have a seven day policy with the receipt and I’ll circle the policy here for you, just make sure you come back in a week for a full cash refund.” She didn’t give me any indication it was any more stringent than that, so I waited a couple of days (I had family in town that I brought to the store who bought other things too). I wore it around for a while and took the tags off so I could get a good feel for it (also because I’ve never had issues with this before and didn’t assume I would, AND they had two HUGE tags in each, so wearing with them irritated my skin even after a few seconds). I decided I wanted to exchange it, so I went to the store. Lo and behold, they don’t accept returns if 1)youve taken off the tags or 2)have worn it, even to try on. I love supporting local businesses, but they are not supporting people who don’t have a huge spending budget and need flexibility. The people I returned to were also frankly very unempathetic, which is a huge disappointment for how friendly and accommodating most places are in Waco. If you’re visiting or taking someone to visit, go somewhere else where they care about you more than their money. Go to the VIBE in McGregor instead.
