The food is phenomenal! We bought 250 tacos for a party and everyone loved them! You really cannot go wrong with anything you order, I’ve tried multiple trucks in the area and nothing comes close to Taqueria La Chona

The agua frescas were delicious. Barbacoa tacos were good. Lingua tacos were not very good. The lingua was hard and dry. Overall good food though.

Had the chicken quesadilla and the torta cubana. Quesadilla was good and the torta is huge and heavy. Both the red and green salsas are good, not too spicy. Went at 11:30 a.m. on a Friday. Was the only customer there. The owner was nice and his customer service is on point. Plenty of seating under a carport. Will be going back to check out other items on the menu.

So like most people, if you pass by it enough times you will eventually stop and so we did on Friday night around 10 PM. It was cold and didn't want to eat on the car so we took it home. For $20 we got 3 brisket tacos, 1 brisket quesadilla, and 1 mexican coke, a must-have, right? The food was still hot when we got home. The red and green sauces were tasty. Hate to say it but, for us both, we didn't taste anything "special" to set them apart or above other trucks. In the photo of the quesadilla on the truck wall, I thought it would be the same, but it wasn't just meat and cheese. Just not for us.

This place never disappoints!! Food is great quick fast service. Every time I’m in Waco, I make sure to stop and get a bite at La Chona’s. Everything is delicious!!!
