Tejun The Texas Cajun- Robinson

I’ve eaten here a few times before and it’s always been good, but this last visit seriously stood out. I don’t know who was back there chefing it up that day, but the crawfish were AMAZING. They were so full of spice!!! Not a single mushy or muddy bug at all!! They were literally so good I was cracking open the claws and scraping out the heads. Easily the best crawfish I’ve ever had. 🤤 I’m PRAYING that whenever I go back, I somehow get whoever made them that day again. I also ordered a snow crab cluster, crab cake, potatoes, and corn. Everything was really good, no complaints there, but the crawfish completely stole the show!

Goodness gracious what a great surprise this was. The green beans are OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS. Whole experience was a 10/10 and wish I lived here so I could come back for a quart of those green beans every week lol The grilled crab cake had a good flavor but not hot (temperature wise) enough for my liking. I would try the fried instead if that’s your thing. The potato bowl with etouffe with fried shrimp was so good and seasoned. Truly had a great dinner and couldn’t recommend enough!

We were introduced to Tejun with their food truck in Corsicana the first weekend of every month. Great boiled shrimp, corn, taters and sausage!! We decided to stop at the restaurant in Robinson while passing through Waco. It did not disappoint!! Food is fabulous! I grew up in a LA/MS family so Cajun is my first food language! Love the shrimp poboys and my wife likes the etouffee. And if course we likely will have a bowl of gumbo also! This is aside stop for us whenever passing through Waco now. Staff is super friendly, service is fast, food is good, and they don't allow tipping!

If you’re anywhere near and craving amazing Cajun-inspired food with top-tier service, do yourself a favor and stop by. Five stars all day, no question about it.

The food was the bomb!! For the price, I got the large catfish(10 strips) with fries. I also got a side of corn and the sausage. The corn was so good. Im from louisiana and I was passing through and I was amazed. You can't go wrong here!!! If you are in Waco, it's worth trying👍👍👍👍👍 I did delivery!!! Great service!!!!
