The Oasis On Lake Travis

Tried loaded nachos, good start. Chicken fajitas were not tasty, skip that. Mango margarita and limeade mocktail were nice. Chocolate Tres leches cheesecake was really good however I dont know why they named it Tres leches? but since this was yummy so didn’t mind. Service was fast. Seating was too hot, no fan reached us. But the view made up for it, truly great.

Love the view! It was a busy day but we got our table pretty fast! Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I liked the food too for a Texmex. We ordered shrimp tacos, burrito and chips and salsa with margaritas. I just expected to have complimentary salsa and chips. In general, Loved the food and will be back for sunset watch.

We went to The Oasis on Lake Travis on a Sunday evening with a group of 9, mainly to catch the sunset. As expected, it was busy and we waited about 45 minutes for a table. We ended up getting Level 1 outdoor seating, but if you’re going for the views, I’d recommend trying for Level 3. They also have an option to pay $10 per person to access the Level 3 outdoor area without waiting for restaurant seating, which is something I wish I had known before. The sunset and lake views are honestly the reason to visit. Once the sun starts going down, the whole place comes alive, and it’s a great spot for photos or just enjoying the evening with family and friends. The food, though, didn’t really match the location or the price. We ordered chips & queso, chicken fajitas, and a few other dishes. The queso wasn’t anything memorable, and the chicken fajitas were served cold. Overall, the food felt below what we expected for the prices. We were hoping for something closer to places like Chuy’s, but it didn’t quite get there. If you’re planning a visit, I’d say come for the view, not the food. Try to arrive 45–60 minutes before sunset, check if Level 3 is available, and enjoy the atmosphere. The scenery is what makes this place special, and that’s what we’ll remember the most from our visit.

There's a sign at the entrance asking for patience due them being short staffed, so we went in expecting long delays-- which wasn't the case at all! It took longer for the waitress to come to our table than it did for us to receive our food, which was great. The food isn't the best in my opinion, but it is tasty, and the atmosphere makes up for where the food lacks! ***In the beginning*** Once we entered the establishment, we were asked how many in our party and where did we want to sit. We were seated within 10-15 minutes. We asked to be upstairs, so the time of day we went (7pm ish) had it still feeling pretty steamy upstairs. Once the sun was low enough for them to raise the shade, the heat seemed to evaporate, and everyone was enamored by the view of the sun setting. Many came up to take pics. Once the sun set, the staff rings a bell and we all cheered to the sun setting on another glorious day. I found this touching because it is something we all take for granted. We enjoyed eating and chatting with our neighbors. The atmosphere and the view makes this restaurant a must visit when you are in Lake Travis. Thank you!

The atmosphere is beautiful the food is what isn’t good. Beautiful people yet the lack morality. Which means it could be management and the owner. I think if they redid the menu and offered deals this place can be picked back up. Such a sad case. There was other tourists there but the locals knew better. The menu was like bar food but the taste below that.
