UPDATED REVIEW (added better pictures of the 5 mini tacos) WOW. Just wow… Guys… I went to The Trompo King at their new location on 5th St., and holy… I mean just look at those pictures. First of all, wonderful service. I ordered takeout and was recommended the 5 mini tacos (accidentally ate one up before I could remember to take the original picture). I’ve now added updated pictures showing all 5 tacos, and they were just as good as they look. I got the tacos with corn tortillas and asked them to surprise me with the meat options since I’m not picky, just hungry. They loaded the plate up with different meats, fresh lime wedges, a pepper, cilantro, onion, and my favorite part: small chunks of pineapple. The sides that came with it were frijoles charros and orange rice. It was delicious and worth the price. As for the restaurant, it was clean and decorated with beautiful art (love the aesthetic), and they had a big speaker playing great music. Waco is lucky to have this place, and I can't wait to go back.

We had an incredible meal. The sauce they bring out with chips was so good I hated that I had to leave and stop eating it…couldn’t get enough. We got a pastor burrito and split it between my wife and our daughter and I. We weren’t trying to eat a lot as it was later than normal but we didn’t leave hungry either!!! Great location right off campus and well within walking distance of anywhere on campus or the “Baylor Bubble” and definitely worth trying them out! The pastor was great and we can’t wait to go back!

Best guacamole ive had all year.. super fresh... the tacos were bomb i got the al pastor 😋 love the pineapple 🍍 pieces... i will be stopping by again when im in the area

My husband and I enjoyed our food and our service all around. Very nice owners, very attentive! Even our toddler loved his food!! We got the tropo tacos after only tasting one taco yesterday. We HAD to go back!!

Amazing food and atmosphere!! might be a little wait but the guy is such a hard worker and the food is 1000% worth it!!
