Villastay Vacation Rentals

The cabin was beautiful and clean on the inside but very dirty on the outside and the address they gave leads somewhere else not to the correct location they need to fix that and the power in the cabin went out our second day there our cabin was the only one without power our neighbors had power but we didn't for a while. Amos came out to fix it but it went out again shortly after he left.Amos came back again and fixed it and we had no problems with the power again.I liked the little shops nearby they were very fun and interesting. Also the pullout in the front room is broke and very flimsy.These were little issues except the power going out they did have a airbed for the pullout problem but the airbed would not stay inflated it had a hole in it. Amos was very accommodating and helpful. Amos refunded me a discount thanks so much.

Wasn’t able go through with our reservation so I cannot speak on the room. But we wanted to reschedule for another weekend same month due to potential tornadoes and also because we were involved in a car accident in our only car. They said no rescheduling which feels odd. We only got the cleaning fee back for canceling. Probably won’t ever try to book here again. Imagine trying to find shelter with two little ones in a shipping container during a tornado. Sounds fun.

Location & interior were good! Small as expected but cute & mostly cozy inside. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the upstairs as planned on both nights b/c the firepit is propane & the tank was empty. They said they would get us a new one, so they dropped it off downstairs, expecting us to carry this heavy tank up these narrow stairs. Very disappointed, i was looking forward to beautiful cold nights by the fire. Definitely not worth the price.

So, we really thought the cabin was super cute! Unfortunately, there were a few issues, mainly the cleaning...the cabinets in the kitchen were quite dirty and the sheets on the sofa bed were nasty. The hot tub had some kind of weird brown grime in several places and a really odd fishy smell that made us all exit the water pretty quickly. There were a few broken items, a glass , a cabinet drawer and the floor lamp in the bedroom could all benefit from being replaced. The mini fridge was unusable due to it freezing everything. I think the actual ground of the area could have also used some maintenance. The property needed mowed, at best. For the $568 one night price, this place was not up to par for us. I am sending pictures to help express my concerns. I did contact the company before making this post, they did not respond to my concerns.

The shipping container tiny home in Alpine was fantastic! It was super clean with very comfortable bed and pillows. The rooftop deck faced west for excellent sunset views and the stargazing was fantastic! It was perfect accommodation for our motorcycle riding around the Big Bend area. We would definitely stay again!
