Its so good to see art sculptures, fun and well take care. You can see it from the car or while exercising all around the park.
Located at 400 South University Parks Drive along the west side of the Brazos River, the Waco Sculpture Zoo is an engaging tourist attraction that adds creativity to the local riverfront. Boasting a solid 4.2-star rating from 26 Google reviews, the outdoor destination is celebrated for its fun, well-cared-for art sculptures that depict various animals. Visitors can conveniently take in the sights right from their car or admire the different types of sculptures up close while exercising all around the surrounding park.
The riverside area features very nice trails along the Riverwalk, making it a scenic and pleasant setting for both walking and running. Many guests choose to park by the convention center and stroll along the path leading toward the Waco Zoo and back again. For those who want to venture farther down the trail and away from town, the paths split in many ways through the woods, presenting cliffs and valleys to climb alongside the trail.

Very nice trails along the river for running or walking. Farther down, away from town, the trails split many ways into the woods with some cliffs and valleys to climb. The sculptures were a great touch as I wasn’t aware that they were going to be there.

The trail along the west side of the Brazos River has some interesting animal sculptures along the way leading to the Waco Zoo. It was a pleasant walk and easy to view and admire the different types of sculpture. I parked by the convention center and walked to the zoo and back on the Riverwalk, enjoying the sculptures from both directions. If I had more time, I would have gone to the zoo or explored the rest of Cameron Park.

The sculpture zoo is really awesome. You can see various sculptures of animals across the Waco river trail. We decided to go on a quick walk on Monday morning and we absolutely loved it 😍. The weather was perfect and trail is gorgeous. They have so many sculptures. We didn’t have too much time so we decided to stop walking after Cameron zoo. If you have kids definitely stop by because you are going to really enjoy it.

I love walking and running past the sculptures on my weekend runs through Cameron Park and down to River run on the weekends. My favorite sculptures are the thinking elephant and the orangutan children. Each statue is unique and neat to look at and read the inscriptions on the plaques. It's a good place to walk with children and talk about the animals either before or after visiting the nearby zoo.
